Our Story
IT STARTED ON A BUS
Colorado Cannabis Clothing Company began in Colorado Springs in 2020. The CannaBus was already part of our lives: an actual short school bus that served as a mobile headshop. When the pandemic shut things down, making clothing gave us something new to work on.
Our first piece was a single Only Grams hoodie. We made it to wear, but people kept asking where they could get one. After a few months, those questions made us think it might be worth making more.
The CannaBus is still with us. She carries us to events and helps us move our claw machines. What began around a bus has grown into a world of clothing, characters, and stories that we bring out to meet people.
STRAINS WITH STORIES TO TELL
After Only Grams, we began wondering what a personified cannabis strain could become. Each strain character starts with smoking the strain. We pay attention to what it brings to mind and let that guide the personality and design.
The characters can make people laugh, but they also give us a way to share something about the strains people have smoked and loved. Storytelling has become our favorite part of the work.
GLASS BROUGHT TO LIFE
As the strain characters developed, we wanted to bring the glass pieces we admired into the same world. We might never own a $10,000 rig, but we could celebrate the artist and the piece through a character and the clothing built around it.
We try to understand the personality the original glass artist intended for each piece. Then we give that character room to move, act, and have adventures—taking the creative liberties a story needs while staying connected to the art that inspired it. Working with glass artists, managing expectations, and getting that balance right have been some of the hardest parts of turning this idea into something people can hold and wear.
WEAR YOUR PART OF THE WORLD
C4 makes loud clothing to help people stand out in a crowd. We create with smokers and festival goers in mind, but anyone who connects with the work belongs here.
We make multiple designs in a series so one look does not take over an event. You can choose the character and colors that speak to you, mix pieces your own way, and express more of your personality through what you wear.
Colorado’s active social scene gives us chances to bring the work to people and learn from their response. We’re still building this community locally and online, and we hope to get all of Colorado involved. We don’t know exactly which project will come next. We’ll keep telling the stories, trying ideas, and seeing where the crowd takes us.
